Acceptable Use

What's allowed (and what isn't) on our infrastructure.

Short rules for a long relationship. We like customers who build real things — not those who make trouble for others.

What's not allowed

  • Spam (email, SMS or any other form), bulk-mailing without opt-in, or abusing mail servers.
  • Phishing, scam sites, malware distribution, command-and-control servers, or hosting content that facilitates illegal activity.
  • (D)DoS attacks, port-scanning, or other offensive security activity targeting third parties without written authorisation.
  • Cryptomining on shared / hosting / VPS plans. On cloud it's allowed as long as it stays within your resource budget.
  • Content that violates Dutch or European law — including copyrighted material without licence.
  • Attempts to compromise our infrastructure, other customers, or third parties.

What is allowed

Pretty much everything else. Build cool things — websites, apps, SaaS, game servers, ML workloads, backup targets, dev/test environments. If you're unsure, drop us a line.

How we respond to violations

We always try to contact you first before taking action. For acute harm (active spam, security incidents) we may disable services first and communicate after. Decisions can always be appealed — open a ticket from your dashboard.

Reporting abuse

See something coming from our infrastructure that shouldn't be? Email abuse@oxar.nl with details (URL, IP, timestamp, headers). We take all reports seriously and respond within 24 hours on business days.
